GS1 disclaimer — local barcode tools are not product registration

Every serious barcode utility should say this plainly: generating bars ≠ registering a product number.

What LocalBarcode does

It encodes the string or digits you supply into Code128 or EAN PNG graphics, optionally in bulk from CSV. That is useful for prototypes, internal inventory codes you already own, and printing drafts.

What it does not do

• Sell or assign GS1 company prefixes.
• Guarantee marketplace acceptance of a self-invented EAN.
• Replace your brand’s official numbering process.

If you need retail GTINs, work with GS1 or the organization that issues numbers for your brand. Then use a local generator (like this one) to print the graphics without uploading the list.
